Creative Aluminum

This is a standard W pan awning.  This awning is very durable and fairly inexpensive.  It is an awning widely used and is great for producing shade for a house or a vehicle.  There are several small upgrades that can be made to this awning to adjust its appearance and it durability.

1.             W-pan awning with an I-beam and a 2 foot over hang.  The patio on the right side of the picture is a 6’ standard awning that  is inset through the gable over the door.

2.          Gabled awning off the end of home.  A carpet deck with aluminum railing.  Steps are painted and constructed out of 2x6’ wood.  This house also has a vinyl skirting.

3.          Freestanding awning, double carport.  Attached is a patio that extends past the house.  This allows these individuals to walk from their car to their home without getting wet.

4.          Free standing carport slightly sloped so that the water will run.

5.          Standard awning that extends into a carport.  This awning is gabled to follow the roof of the house while the gutter (on the outside) stays straight.  We call this a half Gable.  A full gable is when the gutter follows and is parallel with the roof line.

6.          Double carport attached to the house, with an I-beam down the center.  This I-beam lowers the cost (in comparison to free spanning) as the panels can be a thinner gage.
